Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks a Resident Engineer (Process & Commissioning) with over 10 years of experience in the water/wastewater sector. The successful candidate will assist in site inspections, address contractor queries, and engage in project meetings. Candidates should hold a recognized university degree, possess excellent communication, and leadership skills. This is an opportunity to work on critical commissioning processes for water treatment projects.

Qualifications

  • Must have approximately 10 years of experience in supervising commissioning processes.
  • Experience in water and/or used water treatment plants is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and lead teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all commissioning process site inspection and planning.
  • Address Contractor’s RFIs and assess method statements.
  • Attend site meetings and lead technical discussions.

Job description
Resident Engineer (Process & Commissioning) - Water / Wastewater
  • Assist Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager on all commissioning process site inspection issues, planning the commissioning process, contract related matters and support the identification of defects and supervise rectification works.
  • Address and respond to all Contractor’s RFI’s and technical submittals. Other work scopes include but not limited to assess method statements/instrumentation reading, coordinate with other discipline engineers and liaise with design team/QP from HQ.
  • Attend all site/project related meetings, discussions with clients and/or Contractors and lead in technical and work progress discussions.
Qualifications
  • Shall hold a University Degree, preferably recognised by the PE Board, Singapore.
  • About 10 years of experience in supervising commissioning process works preferably in water and/or used water treatment plants.
  • A person with good communication and leadership skills.
