Qualifications

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Research Officer to join the Translational Neuroscience group, to work on maternal and child sleep research within existing cohort studies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Plans and coordinates the initiation of research study protocols, including training of staff.
  2. Liaison with collaborators within and outside of the research institute.
  3. Data tracking and data collection activities (include contacting participants) for sleep tracking devices.
  4. Data cleaning and data coding of longitudinal datasets, including actigraphy and questionnaires.
  5. Performs comprehensive literature reviews and support scientific writing of abstracts and/or peer-reviewed manuscripts.
  6. Presents and communicates research findings internally within the team and externally (eg conference).
Job Requirements:
  • Degree in Psychology, Biomedical Science or related fields of discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using quantitative statistical tools such as SPSS, STATA or R.
  • Experience in scientific writing (eg. Conference abstract, peer-reviewed papers).
  • Research experience with observational cohorts, clinical or industrial studies would be an advantage.
