Job summary

SINGFILM SOLAR PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly qualified researcher to advance perovskite solar cell materials and interfaces.

The role focuses on designing experiments, evaluating interfaces, and driving innovations for high-efficiency devices. The candidate will lead material synthesis, device development, and data analysis, collaborating with engineering and operations teams to push performance while controlling costs. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in engineering or a similar technical discipline focusing on solar cells.
• Experience with photovoltaics is preferred.
• Expertise in material research or device development.
• Experience in material and device characterization.
• Proven history of developing technologies for high-performance solar cells, preferably perovskite.
• Strong data analysis and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate activities between engineering and operations teams.

• Conduct material and device research to enhance the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells and reduce costs.
• Responsible for developing innovative interface materials and processes to enhance the surface/interface and bulk properties required for high-efficiency photovoltaic devices.
• Control key material properties through material synthesis steps.
• Develop and maintain processes and equipment related to material research.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments, and submit reports and analyses as required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education/Experience:

Ph.D. degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline with a focus on solar cells, LEDs, etc.

Required Skills/Competencies:

• Experience with photovoltaics is preferred.
• Expertise in the field of material research or device development.
• Basic understanding of material and device characterization, with an in-depth knowledge of innovative new material development and identification to enhance the surface/interface and bulk properties required for high-efficiency photovoltaic devices.
• Proven history of developing new technologies and processes for high-performance solar cells, preferably perovskite solar cells.
• Ability to handle complex data, analyze, and communicate results effectively.
• Ability to coordinate activities between various engineering and operations teams. Good verbal and written communication skills.
