Job summary

NTU Singapore's School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology invites a Research Fellow to develop and apply multidimensional optical spectroscopy, especially 2DES, to study ultrafast energy transfer in complex molecular systems.

Responsibilities include operating ultrafast laser systems, designing and analyzing experiments, performing simulations, drafting publications, and mentoring PhD and undergraduate researchers in a collaborative lab.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Biophysics, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated research experience in ultrafast nonlinear optical spectroscopy with first-author publications.
• Strong knowledge of laser optical techniques and time-resolved spectroscopic methods.
• Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrafast laser systems (regenerative amplifiers, OPA, WLG).
• Publication record in optics/chemical physics.
• Experience with ultrafast optical pulse shapers is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot ultrafast laser systems.
• Design, conduct, and analyze ultrafast and multidimensional spectroscopy experiments.
• Perform simulations to study ultrafast dynamics and energy transfer.
• Prepare and draft research manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals.
• Mentor PhD, postgraduate, and undergraduate researchers.
