Established in 2008, the Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) at Nanyang Technological is a leading research institute dedicated to understanding earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, climate change, and other environmental challenges in Southeast Asia. Its key strengths include interdisciplinary expertise, advanced geophysical and remote-sensing capabilities, extensive regional field-observation networks, and strong collaborations with academic institutions and government agencies.

The successful candidate will lead and contribute to the development of advanced approaches for investigating earthquake nucleation and propagation mechanisms. The role involves both independent and collaborative research to achieve project objectives, as well as the publication of high-impact journal articles that enhance the international standing of the University.

We are looking for a Research Fellow to develop and perform advanced seismic source analysis for both small earthquakes within the Singapore and moderate-large earthquakes in southeast Asia.
