Job summary

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to lead the development of cutting‑edge energy efficient underwater navigation systems. The successful candidate will conduct advanced research in localization algorithms, spearhead energy‑aware navigation planning systems development, and oversee real world validation of underwater navigation technologies while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research and development of energy efficient navigation systems for underwater vehicles
  • Design and implement advanced underwater navigation algorithms and frameworks
  • Develop comprehensive simulation environments and establish testing protocols
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis and optimization of navigation system performance for energy consumption and accuracy
  • Supervise and mentor research engineers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams
  • Author high‑quality research publications and technical reports
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables
Qualifications
  • PhD degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with robot planning algorithms and control systems
  • Research experience of at least three years, even during Master or PhD program, including skills for paper preparation
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Familiarity with underwater robots, sensors (DVL, sonar) and simulation environments will be an added advantage
