Job summary

National University of Singapore (NUS) Environmental Research Institute invites applications for a Research Fellow (Laboratory, Instrumentation & Field Studies). The role involves conducting field studies with the research team, operating and maintaining online and offline instruments to characterize VOCs in urban environments, and supporting data analysis and reporting.

Applicants with a PhD and hands-on experience in VOC sampling, GC-MS/LC-MS, and PMF source apportionment are preferred.

Qualifications

Job Description

The job holder is to work with PI and the research team to conduct field studies and operate, maintain online and offline analytical instruments to characterize VOCs in urban environment.

(Potential Postdoctoral Research Associate will be considered for this role.)

Qualifications

• PhD's degree in a related field

One or more of (but not limited to) experiences of the following:

• Operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and data analyses of bulk VOC sampling, off-line speciation, PTR-MS, etc.
• Laboratory (offline) chemical speciation and quantification (e.g. GCMS, ICP-MS, TD-GCMS, IC, HPLC, LCMS, etc.)
• Source apportionment via PMF
• Proficient in technical presentation, slide making, report writing, proposal drafting, etc.
• Proven rounded and effective team player with strong initiative and ownership of the research project
