Job summary

National University of Singapore seeks a Research Fellow to advance immersive reality and multimodal interaction research within a multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to device design, embedded implementation, user evaluation, and high-impact dissemination in top venues.

The role involves prototyping hardware and software, integrating sensors and microcontrollers, and mentoring undergraduate teams while collaborating with researchers across HCI, VR/AR, and AI.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, IoT Engineering, Design or a closely related discipline.
• Strong programming skills with hands-on prototyping experience in Unity, VR/AR, and real-time systems.
• Experience with embedded devices and microcontroller platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research projects aligned with the lab’s strategic directions.
• Design and implement immersive reality and multimodal interaction.
• Develop functional prototypes of interactive devices including VR/AR and IoT platforms.
• Plan and conduct rigorous user-centered evaluations and translate results into design iterations.
• Publish research results in leading venues and mentor student teams.
