Qualifications

• PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Expertise in hydrocarbon-fuel cracking and coking and chemical kinetic mechanisms.
• Experience with CFD simulations and regenerative cooling.
• OpenFOAM experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB with scripting for automation.
• Strong publication record.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop cracking and coking kinetic mechanisms for multi-component fuels.
• Implement mechanisms in OpenFOAM and run high-fidelity CFD simulations.
• Assist with manuscript preparation, reports, and presentations.
• Supervise/mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the lab.
