Job summary

SIT in Singapore is seeking a Research Fellow/Engineer to contribute to an industry innovation project on artificial intelligence solutions for train operations and maintenance. You will collaborate with faculty, researchers and industry partners to apply advanced AI methods to real-world railway challenges.

Working within the Infocomm Technology division, you will assist in coordinating research activities, monitor project progress, support finance tracking and communications, and help

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in computer or AI-related fields.
• Experience in project management, research administration, or coordination of large-scale projects preferred.
• Familiarity with finance management, budget tracking, procurement, or grant administration advantageous.
• Experience in ML, DL, CV, LLMs, data analytics, or intelligent systems beneficial.

Job Purpose

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.

The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to an industry innovation research project on developing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for train operations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with faculty members, researchers, students, and collaborators on research activities and technology development.


• Support research and development in Artificial Intelligence and related areas for train operations and maintenance.


• Assist in the coordination and management of the research project.


• Coordinate finance tracking, reporting, and communications with industry and research partners.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.


• Experience in project management, research administration, or coordination of large-scale projects is highly preferred.


• Familiarity with finance management, budget tracking, procurement, or grant administration will be an added advantage.


• Experience in areas such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Large Language Models, Data Analytics, or Intelligent Systems will be advantageous.
