Job summary

National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Fellow in Condensed Matter Physics and 2-D Materials Devices. The role is based at the Kent Ridge Campus in the Chemistry unit, working with Prof Loh Kian Ping's group on advanced 2-D materials and device fabrication.

Candidates should have a PhD and a strong track record in 2-D material growth by CVD or related spintronics/topology research, plus experience with low-temperature, high-field transport measurements.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a PhD degree.
• The candidate should have a strong track record in 2-D material growth by CVD, publishing in the areas of quantum topology physics concerning 2-D materials, or in the spintronics (spin Hall effect) of 2-D materials.
• The candidate should be adept at using low temperature, magnetic field transport system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in condensed matter physics and 2-D materials devices.
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Collaborate with Prof Loh Kian Ping's group and manage experimental work in a clean room.

Job Description

The team of Prof Loh Kian Ping invites applications for a Research Fellow position, working in the areas of condensed matter physics and two-dimensional (2-D) materials devices.

The candidate should have experience working in a clean room and be familiar with:

• (1) the lithography of nanodevices, i.e. hall bar, field effect transistors and/or
• (2) CVD growth of ultrathin 2D materials
• (3) Dry transfer and stacking of 2D materials to achieve twist angle control

Qualification and Requirements:

• The candidate should have a PhD degree.
• The candidate should have a strong track record in 2-D material growth by CVD, publishing in the areas of quantum topology physics concerning 2-D materials, or in the spintronics (spin Hall effect) of 2-D materials.
• The candidate should be adept at using low temperature, magnetic field transport system.
