NTU Singapore’s College of Computing and Data Science seeks a highly motivated Research Fellow to advance trustworthy AI and AI security. The role conducts research across model training, deployment, and inference, developing practical methods to identify and mitigate risks and improve robustness in real-world applications.

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to contribute to NTU’s mission of advancing trustworthy AI and AI security. The successful candidate will conduct research on emerging security and trustworthiness challenges across the lifecycle of AI systems, including model training, deployment, and inference. The research aims to develop novel and practical methods for identifying, understanding, and mitigating security risks in AI systems, and to improve their robustness and trustworthiness in real-world applications. The role will support NTU’s high-impact research in trustworthy AI, while fostering collaborations within the University and with external academic and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for research and development of methods for trustworthy AI, with a focus on uncovering security vulnerabilities and developing mechanisms for the secure and reliable deployment of AI systems.
• Responsible for the implementation and evaluation of proposed methods.
• Lead or contribute to research and industry projects, and assist in the preparation of research grant proposals.
• Prepare and publish high-quality papers in top-tier conferences and journals.

Job Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Strong research background in AI, cybersecurity, privacy, or related areas.
• Demonstrated capability to conduct independent and innovative research.
• Demonstrated publication experience in top-tier security conferences and journals.
• Experience in AI model and system development, with proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
