Job summary

NTU's Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) invites applications for a Research Fellow to advance sustainable and advanced building technologies. The role emphasizes supporting research activities, coordinating project management, and delivering outputs such as reports and publications.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in mechanical/electrical engineering with hands-on experience in building energy/power system control, AI/ML applications, and proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and Modelica.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of research experience in building energy/power system control and optimization.
• Familiar with BAC systems, AI/ML applications in building energy.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in power system modelling and advanced control theory (e.g., MPC).
• Experience with data-driven modelling and control methods (RL, transfer learning).
• Proficient in MATLAB, Python, Modelica, C, Fortran.
