National Neuroscience Institute at SGH campus seeks a highly motivated PhD scientist to analyse data and advance translational neuroscience research. You will lead hands-on molecular biology experiments, stem cell culture, and mouse studies, and contribute to biomarker validation using ELISA, flow cytometry and digital PCR.

The role requires independent design and execution of projects, meticulous record-keeping, rigorous data analysis, and clear communication in team discussions.

Qualificações

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Neuroscience or related biomedical field.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology, stem cell culture, and mouse handling.
• Proven ability to independently design and execute research projects with translational focus.
• Demonstrated passion for scientific research and high-quality outcomes.

Responsabilidades

• Perform protein- and cell-based assays, including recombinant protein purification, native protein purification, and immunoprecipitation.
• Culture and manipulate human stem cells and iPSC-derived models.
• Conduct in vivo studies in mice, including behavioural assays and tissue processing.
• Investigate and validate biomarkers using ELISA, flow cytometry, digital PCR, and seed amplification assay.
• Proactively identify research opportunities, troubleshoot experimental challenges, and contribute innovative ideas to advance project objectives.
• Maintain accurate records, analyse data rigorously, and communicate findings clearly during team meetings and scientific discussions.

We have a research position available in NNI @ SGH campus for highly motivated individual who have a strong desire and passion for analysing data in the Research landscape.

The candidate will be recruited to perform these following tasks:

• Perform protein- and cell-based assays, including recombinant protein purification, native protein purification, and immunoprecipitation.
• Culture and manipulate human stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived models.
• Conduct in vivo studies in mice, including behavioural assays and tissue processing.
• Investigate and validate biomarkers using techniques such as ELISA, flow cytometry, digital PCR, and seed amplification assay.
• Proactively identify research opportunities, troubleshoot experimental challenges, and contribute innovative ideas to advance project objectives.
• Maintain accurate records, analyse data rigorously, and communicate findings clearly during team meetings and scientific discussions.
