Job summary

SIT in Singapore invites applications for a Researcher role to support the high-frequency ultrasound research platform. The role covers experimental setup, data acquisition, software development, and day-to-day technical execution of the project.

The candidate will assist in developing signal processing and imaging algorithms, manage experiments and data handling, and document findings. A Master’s or equivalent in a relevant field with strong programming skills is required.

Qualifications

• MTech, MSc, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering, Signal Processing, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of signal processing, imaging, electronics, instrumentation, or medical device-related development.
• Hands-on programming experience in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or similar environments.
• Experience in experimental work, data collection, and system troubleshooting is desirable.
• Familiarity with ultrasound imaging, biomedical instrumentation, image processing, or machine learning is desirable.
• Ability to follow technical protocols and maintain clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and testing of signal processing and imaging algorithms for high-frequency ultrasound imaging.
• Support experimental setup, data collection, phantom preparation, system calibration, and routine operation of imaging hardware and measurement equipment.
• Conduct bench top and phantom experiments per defined protocols and document data.
• Develop and maintain software scripts, processing pipelines, and visualization tools for imaging experiments.
• Support system integration involving sensors, data acquisition hardware, software interfaces, and computational workflows.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, figures, and datasets for project reviews and publications.
• Maintain laboratory records, inventory, and equipment logs; assist in procurement and troubleshooting.
• Assist in training students or project users on developed systems and software.
• Perform other project-related technical duties as assigned by PI or senior staff.
