Job description

Join our dynamic FAB Operations team at A*STAR, where you will work on advanced semiconductor process technologies and contribute to impactful research and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Operate multiple types of semiconductor equipment in a cleanroom environment.
  • Use computer-based programs and applications to perform daily work and duties.
  • Operate equipment according to required process specifications (e.g., procedures, change notifications, etc.).
  • Actively participate in assigned on-the-job training and complete required trainings as requested.
  • Provide operation coverage and backup equipment support when necessary.
  • Monitor tools output performance and communicate promptly with Engineers-in-Charge to support equipment error recovery.
  • Demonstrate teamwork in executing process sequences and performing data collection when required.
  • Strictly follow safety protocols and cleanroom rules.
  • Maintain a 6S work environment and report hazards, suspicious, or abnormal activities promptly.
  • Identify and suggest improvements in wafer processing cycle time, equipment utilization, safety, compliance, consumable requirement and cost savings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microelectronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3 years of experience in semiconductor fabrication processes (e.g., Photolithography, Etch, Thin Films, Diffusion, CMP, Metrology) preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience with semiconductor equipment operation in a cleanroom environment will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical writing skills.
  • Team player with good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Self‑motivated, dependable, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced R&D environment with diverse challenges.
