Job summary

Singapore Institute of Technology invites applications for a Research Engineer role in the Marine & Offshore Digital Learning Lab. The position focuses on developing robotics and AR/VR technologies and supporting labs and courses in SIT.

You will collaborate with PI/Co-PI and the research team to ensure project deliverables, perform risk assessments, and maintain equipment while engaging with internal and external stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in programming, CS, or CE.
• Competence in digital tools, programming, AR/VR, robotics.
• Experience or interest in marine and offshore domain advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the Marine and Offshore Digital Learning Lab courses and activities
• Design and develop robotics and AR/VR technology
• Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
• Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations.
• Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Communicate with any internal or external stakeholders required to meet the project deliverables.
• Carry out any additional work tasks assigned by the supervisor.
