Job summary

Hyphen Partners is hiring for a Research Engineer to join its Singapore engineering team. You’ll work across distributed systems, large-scale data infrastructure, and core platform engineering, solving complex technical challenges with ownership from concept to production.

This is a rare opportunity to help build the infrastructure powering next-generation AI. You will contribute to high-throughput data processing, intelligent retrieval and ranking, and production-grade improvements to latency

As a Research Engineer, you'll move fluidly across distributed systems, large-scale data infrastructure, machine learning performance, retrieval, and core platform engineering. The role is intentionally broad—you're expected to solve whichever technical problems will have the greatest impact.

Example projects include:

• Improving performance and efficiency across ML workloads
• Building high-throughput infrastructure processing internet-scale datasets
• Developing intelligent retrieval and ranking systems
• Optimizing latency, throughput and reliability of production AI platforms
• Shipping end-to-end features that directly improve product quality
