Job description

This will be a 3-years renewable contract position based in Jurong West.

Responsibilities

• Robotic software packages and tools research and development for industrial applications using the ROS framework (Robotics Middleware Framework (RMF) multi-agent path planning, simulator design, perception, and motion planning).
• Application-oriented robotic research for industrial automation using ROS 2.
• Develop a frontend UI for fleet management of interoperable robotic systems
• Robotic fleet management solution deployment to cloud/on premise.
• Translate business requirements into system requirements, validation methodologies, and develop software testing and validation strategies in accordance with industry standards.
• Manage technical projects (planning, technical documentation, write-ups, and presentations).

Requirement

• Degree in Robotics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3 years of working experience that includes:
• C++ and Python.
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• ROS2 and its ecosystem.
• Git version control.
• robotics concepts including manipulation, navigation, fleet management, and/or simulation.
• software systems integration, including architecture and communication protocols.
• networked systems design and implementation.

Advantages to have

• Applying or developing AI technologies in robotics.
• Containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
