We are hiring a Research Associate for our Singapore Office!

Responsibilities

This role draws upon the intellectual skills necessary to grasp a complex brief; the research skills and lateral thinking to identify people who are at – or have the Sith to get to - the highest levels in their disciplines/professions or sectors; the advocacy skills to engage such candidates; the motivation to serve our clients with outstanding candidate fields; and the capacity to work as member of a team, at Perrett Laver this will often be a global team. You will have a real passion for people, for the sectors they serve and the outcomes they want to achieve, a thirst for knowledge, a methodical mind‑set that will enable you to carry out a tailor‑made, comprehensive and global search of the talent pool, and high attention to detail and precise communication. Research Associates are expected to manage the research phase of the project including background analysis, identification and securing of candidates, and candidate care. They work closely with and support the Project Management Team and the Consultant(s) in the delivery of projects through to the appointment of a preferred candidate.

Qualifications
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English and ideally one other Asian language;
  • A Master’s degree or above;
  • A strong sense of service and the drive to best support our clients and candidates;
  • Knowledge and passion for the sectors we serve;
  • A curious mind‑set;

  • Sharp and rigorous analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding the assessment of candidates and the contexts they function in;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and to prioritise workload;

  • Strong appreciation and understanding of the importance of time‑sensitive work, responsibility and discretion required for this role;
  • Some resilience and entrepreneurial mindset and interest to work in a mission‑driven commercial environment;

Desirable
  • A Graduate degree;
  • Experience working within universities, research institutions, industry R&D or health services.
