Job summary

UNSW Canberra seeks a Research Associate to contribute to cryptography, machine learning and biometrics research within the School of Systems and Computing. The role supports an Australian Research Council Discovery Grant, with publication in journals and conference participation expected.

The appointment is a fixed-term, full-time position based at UNSW Canberra, ADFA Campus, Australia, funded for 2 years, with Level A6 remuneration and superannuation. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or Math or a related discipline is required or PhD thesis submissions welcomed.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct innovative independent research in cryptography, ML or biometrics.
• Strong publication record in top journals or conferences in the field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multidisciplinary research in cryptography, ML and biometrics.
• Publish research results in international journals and present at conferences.
• Collaborate within the School of Systems and Computing on ARC Discovery Grant projects.
