Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Health (CCEH) is a multidisciplinary research centre dedicated to understanding and mitigating the impacts of climate change on the environment and human health. The key objective is to investigate the driving mechanisms and develop effective solutions to safeguard ecosystem and human health in Southeast Asia. CCEH brings together leading experts in climate science, environmental engineering, and public health to tackle the region’s most pressing climate–health challenges through cutting‑edge research, advanced modelling, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Through its integrative approach, CCEH aims to translate scientific insights into actionable strategies that promote sustainability, resilience, and well‑being for current and future generations.

We are looking for aResearch Associate to develop and apply advanced modelling and analytical frameworks to investigate the impacts of air pollution and heat on neonatal and perinatal health. The role will focus on integrating environmental monitoring data with exposure assessment models and quantifying potential human exposure under different environmental and policy scenarios. The role also involves assessing associated health risks, preparing reports for stakeholders, and publishing findings in peer‑reviewed international journals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To develop epidemiological models to investigate the association between environmental factors and neonatal and perinatal health outcomes.
  • To integrate environmental monitoring and laboratory datasets with exposure and risk assessment frameworks.
  • To analyze and interpret model outputs to provide evidence‑based insights for environmental health and policy.
Job Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in atmospheric science/geography/meteorology/environmental health or related field
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Python/R
  • Candidates with recent publications in relevant areas within the past 5 years are advantageous
