Job summary

NTU Singapore’s College of Computing and Data Science invites applications for a Research Associate to advance projects in computer vision, machine learning, physical AI, and spatial AI. You will develop algorithms, data pipelines, and experimental evaluations within the Physical Vision Group.

Reporting to the Principal Investigator, you will collaborate with faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD students to bridge foundational research with robotics, VR/AR, and embodied AI.

Qualifications

• Hold a Master degree in Computer Science.
• Demonstrated knowledge of deep and statistical learning methods.
• Excellent communication skills for publication and presentations.
• Independent, analytical, proactive and a collaborative team player.
• Strong publication record at major conferences in computer vision and ML is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual research within the project scope in CV/ML.
• Develop and evaluate algorithms for computer vision and ML experiments.
• Engineer software and contribute to group web resources.
• Manage own research activities and administrative duties.
• Adapt existing techniques and develop new protocols.
• Test hypotheses and analyze data from various sources.
• Contribute ideas for new research directions and funding proposals.
• Collaborate with faculty, postdocs, and PhD students to bridge theory and application.
• Fulfill any other duties appropriate to the role.
