Research Associate (Cancer Science Institute)

The Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI) at the National University of Singapore is seeking a highly motivated and capable Research Associate to support advanced research in cancer biology and related biomedical fields. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, contribute intellectually to ongoing research projects, and support collaborative scientific efforts in the lab.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Experimental Research

• Conduct and troubleshoot experiments using techniques such as molecular biology, cell culture, flow cytometry, microscopy, and biochemical assays.
• Optimise and adapt protocols to address project needs and improve data reproducibility.
• Maintain detailed, accurate records of experimental work.

2. Data Analysis & Scientific Communication

• Perform data analysis and interpretation using appropriate software and tools.
• Assist in the preparation of figures, tables, reports, and manuscripts for publication.
• Contribute to literature reviews and grant proposal development.

3. Laboratory & Collaborative Support

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and students.
• Help maintain overall laboratory organisation, including inventory and safety protocols.
• Support collaborative efforts within CSI and with external partners.

Qualifications
