A dental technology center in Singapore is seeking a Research Associate/Research Fellow with a strong focus on algorithms, geometry, and 3D graphics. The successful candidate will design and maintain automatic CAD dental software to create clinical-grade printable geometries. You should have a Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science and proficient skills in 3D modelling and geometric algorithms. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment and directly influence patient care through innovative software solutions.
As a Research Associate/Research Fellow focusing on Algorithms, Geometry, and 3D Graphics, you will work on our automatic design software for dental appliances -- the engine that translates a dental 3D model into dental appliances design for 3D printer. This includes both the algorithms (mesh generation, 3D geometrical computation, etc) and user interface (for visualization and editing). You will be enabling printers, materials, and features that allow our customers to print medical-quality parts that will be used on the factory floor and directly on consumer products. Our software technologies empower our dental clinical users to configure patient oral geometry to print-ready parts, visualize part geometry in 3D, and push to printing. As part of the team, you will be scaling and growth of our 3D processing and appliance generating platform involving end-customer applications. We move at a breakneck pace but refuse to compromise on quality. We believe in “doing it right the first time” and investing in code quality, testing, production and clinical studies. Your ideas will directly influence the patients' care.
The ideal candidate should be an excellent programmer with expertise in one or more areas such as 3D modelling, embedded surface and curves in 3D, and manipulation of triangular meshes. Additional experience in computational geometry, computer graphics, image processing, and applied mathematics would be advantageous.
