Job description

Our client is a provider of public services.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct scholarly research with primary and secondary sources (including Chinese sources) on art from a region in China.
  • Assist in preparing text, bibliographies, captions, images, and footnotes for the exhibition and any accompanying publication(s).
  • Support administrative tasks related to the exhibition, including maintaining object lists, coordinating image copyrights, and filing relevant documentation.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners, including vendors, designers, institutions, and related departments and agencies.
  • Collaborate with team to develop innovative ideas on the narrative, presentation, and design of the exhibition.
  • Oversee the production of multimedia materials (such as videos, soundtracks, or digital initiatives) for the exhibition, if applicable.
  • Assist in organizing lecture programs and educational activities associated with the exhibition.
  • Contribute to the publication process, from conceptualization and research to writing and printing.
Requirements
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese as the ability to conduct scholarly research in both languages is required.
  • Keen interest (preferably with demonstrated research experience) in Chinese and/or Buddhist art and culture.
  • Possess initiative and positive work attitude, ability to multi-task with good time management and to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
