Job summary

The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant position to contribute to a project on Artificial Intelligence for mental health.

The role focuses on assisting research, supporting publications, and collaborating with students and external partners to advance knowledge in social and emotional AI safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in doing research in a relevant field.
• Familiarity with social science theories, HCI, and well-being.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in quantitative/statistical analysis and computational techniques.
• Ability to work independently and with interdisciplinary teams, excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting research on social and emotional AI use and safety evaluation.
• Contribute to publications in top-tier HCI journals, communication, and interdisciplinary venues
• Collaborate with students and interdisciplinary team members and build partnerships with external stakeholders such as community organisations and/or industry.
• Support lab development, including organising research activities, managing projects, and contributing to grant proposals.

We are looking for a Research Assistant to contribute to a research project on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for mental health.
