Job summary

The School of Social Sciences at NTU Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant (Psychology/Education) on a 24-month contract basis, renewable subject to performance and project needs. PATHS is MOE-funded and tracks 500–600 Primary 1 students across 20+ Singapore primary schools to profile learner trajectories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, child development, sociology, or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills.
• Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines; willingness to travel to school sites.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Experience with school-based research or working with young children preferred.
• Familiarity with SPSS, jamovi, JASP, or R for data management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day research operations with participating primary schools.
• Administer psychoeducational assessments and tasks one-to-one with students.
• Distribute, collect, and track parent and teacher questionnaires.
• Maintain research records; assist with data entry, cleaning and quality checks.
• Assist with ethics documentation, literature searches, reports, and stakeholder materials.
• Train and coordinate part-time student research assistants during data collection.
• Perform administrative and procurement tasks as required by the Principal Investigator.
