Job summary

NTU Singapore is inviting applications for a Research Assistant to conduct research on cellular network security, with emphasis on 4G/5G networks and core network systems. The role involves experimental design, testbed development, and collaboration with the PI and team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of computer networks and network security.
• Good programming and experimental research skills.
• Familiarity with cellular networks, including 4G/5G systems and core network architectures.
• Experience in network protocol analysis, system security, or security research.
• Demonstrated research experience in cellular network security, as evidenced by publications in high-quality venues.

Responsibilities

• The Research Assistant will conduct research on cellular network security, with a particular focus on 4G/5G mobile networks and core network systems.
• The candidate will analyse cellular network architectures, protocols, and implementations to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
• The candidate will design and conduct experiments to validate identified security issues and evaluate their practical impact.
• The role may also involve developing experimental testbeds, prototypes, and security analysis tools.
• The candidate will contribute to research publications, technical reports, presentations, and other project deliverables, and work closely with the PI and research team.
