- Mon–Thu: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Job Purpose
The Research Assistant will support the Ministry of Education (MOE) in conducting research studies and supporting the implementation of the Special Education (SPED) Teaching and Learning Syllabuses across SPED schools in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research Support
- Assist in implementing research studies related to SPED syllabus effectiveness.
- Collect, organise, and manage qualitative & quantitative data.
- Record, code, analyse, and evaluate research and stakeholder data.
- Prepare research summaries, charts, documentation, and reports.
2. Literature Review
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews in psychology, education, and special education.
- Summarise relevant academic findings to support syllabus development and implementation.
- Maintain a structured repository of research references and materials.
3. Syllabus Implementation Support
- Assist MOE in supporting SPED schools with syllabus implementation.
- Provide logistics and administrative support for meetings, workshops, and school engagements.
- Gather feedback and track implementation progress.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Assist in interviews, focus groups, and consultation sessions with teachers and school staff.
- Document key insights accurately and comprehensively.
- Coordinate schedules, communication, and logistics.
5. General Project & Administrative Support
- Support project planning, coordination, documentation, and reporting.
- Handle confidential information in accordance with MOE’s data protection guidelines.
- Carry out any other project-related duties assigned by MOE officers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field (or equivalent).
- Strong foundation in research methods, data collection, and data analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in research, literature reviews, or education-related work.
- Experience with SPED learners or SPED environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with analysis tools such as SPSS or NVivo is beneficial.
