Responsibilities

  • Support electronic and manual data collection, including programming surveys.
  • Conduct fieldwork, administering surveys and conducting interviews.
  • Ensure data quality through monitoring and preparing datasets for analysis.
  • Assist with preparation and submission of Institutional Review Board applications.
  • Conduct basic quantitative and qualitative data analyses.

Skills

Proficiency in English

Ability to communicate in Mandarin

Qualifications

Data Collection and Management
  • Support electronic and manual data collection, including programming surveys and assessments into digital platforms.
  • Conduct fieldwork, such as administering surveys, conducting interviews, and facilitating focus groups with community members.
  • Ensure data quality through monitoring, cleaning, and preparing datasets for analysis using statistical software (e.g., Stata, R).
Research Administration and Compliance
  • Assist with preparing materials for data collection and training sessions for field staff.
  • Support the preparation and submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and ensure compliance with ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant consent and reimbursement, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and organizational requirements.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Conduct basic quantitative and qualitative data analyses, including descriptive statistics and coding of transcripts.
  • Collaborate with research staff to produce data visualizations and initial findings for reports and presentations.
  • Assist in literature reviews and synthesis of evidence to inform research design and interpretation.
Operational and Logistical Support
  • Coordinate logistics for fieldwork, including scheduling, resource allocation, and troubleshooting challenges during data collection.
  • Support the research team in administrative tasks, such as managing files, tracking progress, and assisting with grant or contract documentation.
Adherence to Research Integrity and Confidentiality
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest and ensure all research activities are conducted with integrity and transparency.
  • Safeguard participant data and maintain confidentiality throughout the research process.
Secondary Responsibilities
Community Engagement and Communication
  • Serve as a liaison between the research team and community stakeholders, ensuring research activities are culturally appropriate and responsive to community needs.
  • Represent the research team at community events and support knowledge sharing with local partners.
  • Communicate findings and updates to both internal and external stakeholders as required.
