Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Set research and development objectives aligned with customer and market needs
  • Plan and conduct tests to achieve design and development goals, and analyse test data
  • Evaluate prototypes and validate design performance, including customer‑based assessments
  • Design and validate mass production processes
  • Prepare technical reports and support patent application documentation
  • Collaborate with the sales team to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and departmental policies
  • Support continuous improvement of R&D processes and performance
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Materials, Textile Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience in synthetic fibre production or melt‑spinning of thermoplastic resins (e.g., PVC) is an advantage
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
  • Willingness to travel on short notice for customer visits, including overseas locations
  • Basic proficiency in Japanese is an advantage for business communication with customers and HQ
  • Class 3 driving licence is an advantage for work‑related travel
