Job summary

ARISAIG PARTNERS (ASIA) PTE LTD is seeking a Research Analyst to lead fundamental, long-term investment research within our India and ASEAN coverage universe, working closely with the research director and regional team. You will conduct in-depth company analyses, build and maintain financial models, and prepare reports, presentations and market insights for investment decision making.

The role requires strong communication, rigorous due diligence, and compliance with AML/KYC and data security

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in investment research with at least 4 years in the field.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, financial statements, valuation methods and portfolio construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable engaging with company management.
• Experience covering India and/or ASEAN equity markets preferred.

Responsibilities

Brief Job Overview

We are looking for a Research Analyst to lead fundamental, long-term investment research within our India and ASEAN coverage universe, working closely with research director and our regional research team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental and long-term research within an assigned India and ASEAN coverage universe, using structured research frameworks to guide research coverage and universe construction.
• Undertake detailed research and analysis of companies, including business models, financial performance, competitive positioning, industry structure, management quality and relevant market developments.
• Conduct in-depth due diligence on companies within the coverage universe and document findings through structured research processes.
• Provide specialist insight on India and ASEAN markets. Sector trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics.
• Maintain and enhance financial and valuation models, and engagement-tracking systems to support research reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships and networks across the coverage geographies to gather information and market intelligence.
• Prepare research reports, written analysis, presentations and other research materials based on findings.
• Ensure risk and compliance obligations are met within area of coverage (e.g. data security, market conduct, AML/KYC).

Requirements

• At least 5 years' overall experience, including at least 4 years of relevant experience in investment research within investment management industry.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, financial statements, valuation methodologies, and portfolio construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging directly with company management.
• Prior experience covering India and/or ASEAN equity markets is strongly preferred.

Professional Qualifications (if applicable)

Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
