A leading financial services provider in Singapore seeks a Research Analyst to conduct research on the fixed income market and generate actionable investment ideas. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a passion for investing. This role involves collaboration with team members and communication of findings through reports and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree holder in a related discipline (accountancy, economic, finance, or business administration).
- Preferably with investment research experience.
- Demonstrated interest in and passion for investing.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, numerical capability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills. Strong command of both spoken and written English. Mandarin speaking capability is a plus.

- Conduct research within fixed income market coverage.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research within assigned area of fixed income market coverage using information sources, including financial statements, earnings reports, published research, financial databases, corporate and management access
- Generate timely, and actionable bond investment ideas. Work with other members of the research team to evaluate a comprehensive range of bonds and bond funds
- Achieve and maintain a coverage list of bond issuers, and provide periodic research recommendations for bonds in the coverage list and newly issued bonds
- Communicate these investment ideas to the investing public and internal stakeholders through research reports, presentations, and other channels
- Contribute investment views and research in collaboration with the regional offices
- Contribute to the growth of the firm's fixed income business
- Undertake additional/ ad-hoc duties and projects assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor degree holder in a related discipline (accountancy, economic, finance or business administration), preferably with investment research experience
- Experience working with systems such as Bloomberg is desirable
- Good understanding of financial statements, bond mathematics, and macro drivers
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, numerical capability, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills. Strong command of both spoken and written English. Mandarin speaking capability is a plus
