Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Singapore seeks an engineer to develop and manage repairs on aero-engine components. Candidates must have a degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aeronautical Engineering and 3-5 years’ experience in aerospace repair and overhaul. Knowledge of various repair processes is a plus. Responsibilities

· Initiate and develop new repairs on aero-engine components.

· Prepare and maintain work instructions for aero-engine component repairs.

· Perform tooling/ fixture design.

· Ensure compliance to OEM technical data and regulatory requirements.

· Manage new machine and process qualifications.

· In charge of process improvements to improve process robustness, process efficiency and repair yield.

· Prepare First Article inspection reports.

· Take the lead in providing technical recommendations and technical dispositions to the Operations team.

· Actively participate and support continuous improvement/ Kaizen projects.

· Multi-task other engineering-related duties as assigned.

· Comply with the company’s health and safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

· Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.

· 3-5 years’ experience in an aerospace repair and overhaul environment.

· Knowledge of repair processes such as Welding (TIG/EBW), Thermal Spray, Heat Treatment, Brazing, High Pressure Water Jet Stripping, Chemical Cleaning, Shot peening, Machining, etc. will be a plus.
