A global aerospace company in Singapore is seeking an experienced engineer to develop new repair methods and ensure compliance with OEM standards. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in aerospace repair and a relevant engineering degree. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and capable of mentoring a production team while managing diverse engineering responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aeronautical Engineering is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in aerospace repair and overhaul.
  • Familiarity with various repair processes is advantageous.

Job description

The Client is a global aerospace company.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and develop new repair methods for aero-engine components.
  • Create and uphold work instructions for repairing aero-engine components.
  • Conduct tooling design.
  • Ensure adherence to OEM technical data and regulatory standards.
  • Handle process certification, conduct root cause analysis, and enhance process robustness and efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor the production team in repair development.
  • Engage in and support ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Juggle various engineering-related responsibilities as needed.
  • Abide by all company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aeronautical Engineering is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an aerospace repair and overhaul setting.
  • Familiarity with repair processes like Welding (TIG/EBW), Thermal Spray, Heat Treatment, Brazing, High Pressure Water Jet Stripping, Chemical Cleaning, Shot Peening, Machining, etc., will be advantageous.
  • Highly motivated professional capable of working within a cross-functional team.
