Job summary

VY SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Flutter Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable mobile and web apps using Flutter/Dart.

You will own features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and production support. You will implement offline-first functionality, manage complex file workflows, and integrate REST APIs while collaborating with backend, product, and design teams. Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Flutter and Dart for mobile and web platforms.
• Own features end-to-end, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Define and maintain clean, scalable application architecture and reusable components.
• Develop complex UI, application state management, navigation, API integrations, and data-driven features.
• Implement offline-first functionality, including local persistence, caching, synchronization, conflict handling, and recovery mechanisms.
• Manage complex file workflows, including uploads, downloads, local storage, caching, and retry/resume scenarios.
• Integrate REST APIs, authentication, push notifications, analytics, and third-party SDKs.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues across Flutter, native platforms, web, networking, storage, and application lifecycle.
• Optimize application startup time, rendering, memory usage, network usage, and overall application performance.
• Write and maintain unit, widget, and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and design teams to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Mentor developers and contribute to engineering standards and technical decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience, with strong production experience in Flutter/Dart.
• Proven experience developing, deploying, and maintaining Flutter applications on iOS and Android, with experience in Flutter Web.
• Strong knowledge of Flutter internals, widget lifecycle, rendering, asynchronous programming, isolates, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of application architecture and design patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVVM, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with state management frameworks such as BLoC/Cubit, Riverpod, Provider, or equivalent.
• Experience with local persistence using SQLite, Drift, Isar, Hive, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing offline data synchronization, retry mechanisms, conflict resolution, and connectivity-aware workflows.
• Strong experience with file handling, storage, uploads/downloads, permissions, and cross-platform differences between mobile and web.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON serialization, authentication, error handling, and networking.
• Familiarity with native Android/iOS concepts and Flutter platform channels.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, crash reporting, and application monitoring.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills, including troubleshooting production issues.
• Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to independently investigate problems, propose solutions, and drive them to completion.
