Job summary

Bitdeer Technologies Group is seeking an experienced data center network engineer to own and operate our EVPN-VxLAN fabrics across multiple sites. You will drive BGP-based routing, multi-site DCI, and automation to remove manual tickets and enable policy-driven operations.

The role emphasizes spine-leaf data centers, Arista/Cisco NX-OS environments, and firewall security with Palo Alto or Fortinet. Remote flexibility is available as part of Bitdeer's global AI/cloud initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data center network engineering with hands-on EVPN-VxLAN deployment experience.
• Strong BGP expertise including eBGP/iBGP, route policies and traffic engineering.
• Experience designing and operating multi-site DCI with EVPN multi-homing.
• Proficiency with Arista EOS and/or Cisco NX-OS in spine-leaf data center environments.
• Experience with firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet) for perimeter and inter-tenant security.
• Hands-on experience with IP transit provisioning and internet peering.
• Familiarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Python/Netmiko, Nautobot/NetBox).
• Strong understanding of QoS, traffic engineering, and capacity planning for DC networks.
• AIOps aptitude or a clear thesis on automating network operations.
• Runbook-as-code mindset: configs, changes, and rollbacks executable by an agent.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate EVPN-VxLAN fabrics across multi-site DCs.
• Manage BGP, OSPF, ECMP and VxLAN across spine-leaf architectures.
• Oversee IP transit, peering, and internet edge infrastructure.
• Maintain network health, capacity, and SLA monitoring across sites.
• Develop and enforce runbooks and automation for changes and rollbacks.
• Produce network architecture docs, standard configs, and change procedures.
