Job summary

An International School in Singapore is seeking a Relief Teacher to plan, teach, and support students in the Cambridge curriculum for Grade 6 to Grade 8. Candidates should have experience in international schools and a passion for teaching Science, Mathematics, and English. Strong English communication skills and pedagogical competence are essential. A Master's degree is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Seasoned teacher with prior experience in International Schools in Singapore.
• Experience in teaching Science, Mathematics, and English for Lower Secondary levels.
• Competent with pedagogical techniques within Cambridge framework.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Cambridge curriculum teaching.
• Teach Grade 6 to Grade 8 students.
• Conduct indoor/outdoor classroom activities.
• Provide individualized care and support to students.
• Conduct routine testing and evaluation.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

RELIEF TEACHER

• 1.1 plan, strategize, formalize, and execute for Cambridge curriculum teaching framework, matters and processes
• 1.2 able to teach Grade 6 to Grade 8 students with the subject(s) assigned and as prescribed by the Cambridge curriculum.
• 1.3 conduct indoor/outdoor classroom activities for/with students as prescribed by the Cambridge curriculum and/or by school coordinators
• 1.4 conduct routine testing and evaluation of the students
• 1.5 provide students with individualized care and concern
• 1.6 provide student support, teacher support, and instructional support.
• 1.7 perform any other duties that may assign to you.
• 1.8 should readily be available as relief teacher when called for teaching engagement - it can be one day, or several days in a scattered scheduling.

Competencies:

• 1.1 Seasoned teacher who has prior experience in teaching in any International Schools in Singapore
• 1.2 Having teaching experience in Science, Mathematics, and English for Lower Secondary levels.
• 1.3 Undergone relevant teaching experience in Cambridge, IB, PYP curricula
• 1.4 Competent with pedagogical techniques iwithin Cambridge framework of teaching and learning
• 1.5 Passionate and caring about kids
• 1.6 Eloquent in English & a good communicator
• 1.7 Masters degree preferred but not essential
