Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited is seeking a Wealth Management professional for Priority Clients to drive new business and deepen client relationships. You will conduct consultative financial analyses, provide market insights, and coordinate monthly sales plans to achieve targets.

You will engage in marketing activities, call on prospects, and deliver high-quality after-sales service while ensuring strict AML/regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Wealth Management and Banking concepts.
  • CMFAS Exams completed.
  • Experience managing Greater China market; Mandarin language proficiency.
  • Minimum 5+ years in Retail Banking.

Responsibilities

  • Maximise new business opportunities and deepen customer relationships to service standards for Priority Clients.
  • Conduct professional financial analysis and profiling sessions with customers.
  • Provide regular market information updates and trend analysis on financial products.
  • Draw up monthly plans with the team to achieve sales targets and new business objectives.
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities for customer acquisition.
  • Source and call on individual prospects and provide quality after-sales service.
  • Manage client attrition risk and retention efforts.
  • Organise and conduct sales presentations to groups and organisations.
  • Solicit referrals from other SCB units and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering procedures and regulatory requirements.

Job Summary

The purpose of the role is to

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize new business/acquisition/referral opportunities and deepening existing customer relationships to the specified service standards for the Priority Clients segment
  • To conduct a professional, consultative financial analysis and profiling session with customers to meet their financial needs/objectives.
  • To foster and deepen customer relationships by providing regular market information updates and trend analysis on local and international financial products.
  • In consultation with the PB team manager/ branch manager/ PTL, draw up monthly plans for achieving/exceeding sales targets to meet new business and customer acquisition goals
  • To participate in marketing and promotional activities for customer acquisition.
  • To source and call on individual prospects
  • To provide quality, efficient after-sales services
  • To manage anti-attrition and retention of clients
  • To organise and conduct sales presentations to groups, clubs, associations, companies and other organisations.
  • To solicit referrals from other parts of SCB eg. RMs from C&I, staff, etc.
  • To comply with all applicable money laundering prevention procedures and in particular, report any suspicious activity to the Transaction Monitoring Unit.
  • To ensure compliance with all regulations and controls as set by the Bank and external regulatory authorities.

  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Lead the Singapore CPBB International Banking Team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles. Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalation, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Treasury, Investment and Insurance Specialists, SCB China RMs.
Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Singapore CPBB International Banking Team; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats)
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Understands the core concepts, principles, processes or procedures of Wealth Management and Banking
  • CMFAS Exams
  • Experience in managing Greater China market
  • Good understanding and command of Mandarin as the incumbent will be supporting Greater China market
  • 5+ years of experience in Retail Banking.
