Job summary

OCBC Singapore seeks an experienced Relationship Manager to cover Global Funds clients within its Non-Bank Financial Institutions team. You will manage onboarding, AML compliance, and day-to-day servicing, while building lasting relationships with key decision-makers and driving revenue.

The role requires a degree in Business/Banking/Economics and 2–3 years in sales or relationship management. You will work with RMs across regional platforms, identifying cross-sell opportunities and ensuring

Qualifications

  • A degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Banking or Economics.
  • 2–3 years of experience in sales or relationship management in financial institutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Cover and manage an assigned portfolio of Global Funds clients.
  • Regularly manage and monitor client relationships and servicing issues.
  • Onboard clients in line with AML and regulatory requirements; manage accounts opening and treasury onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, including due diligence and reviews.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and new revenue streams from existing clients.
  • Perform annual reviews on fund managers to ensure licensing and regulation.

The NBFI team seeks to position OCBC as the preferred banking partner for NBFIs in Asia through high quality client service and engagement through OCBC's regional platform.

To excel in this role, you'll need to develop a deep understanding of the financial landscape, including the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities. You'll leverage this knowledge to identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with key decision-makers, and provide innovative solutions that meet their evolving needs. Your ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders will be essential to your success.

What you do
  1. Coverage support responsibility over an assigned portfolio of Global Funds clients.
  2. Regular management, monitoring of client relationships & supporting day-to-day servicing issues resolution.
  3. Manage (a) clients' on-boarding in accordance with OCBC's AML and regulatory requirements, (b) accounts opening based on operational guidelines, and (c) treasury / FX onboarding & trading. To handle subsequent documentation updates as part of client servicing.
  4. Ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures - customer due diligence, account and periodic transaction reviews, data quality.
  5. Assist team leads in identifying cross selling opportunities and new revenue streams from existing clients.
  6. Perform annual review on fund managers in portfolio to ensure managers remains licensed and regulated.
Who you are
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Banking or Economics
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in sales or relationship management, preferably in the financial institutions space
  • Strong industry knowledge, including a deep understanding of the financial institutions landscape and the latest trends and challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key decision-makers and engage stakeholders
  • Possess good analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving and time-management skills, with the ability to identify new business opportunities and develop innovative solutions
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced sales environment
  • A confident, customer focused and effective team player who is independent and proactive in supporting peers and team.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is eager to learn
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
