Job Purpose
As a Relationship Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of corporate clients in the healthcare, education, and essential services sectors. You will be responsible for deepening client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and delivering tailored banking solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders. This role offers a strong platform for career development in sector-focused commercial banking.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management
- Manage a portfolio of mid-sized corporate clients across healthcare, education, and essential services.
- Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers and understand their business models, challenges, and growth plans.
- Conduct regular client engagements to identify financing, cash management, and advisory needs.
2. Solutioning & Deal Execution
- Collaborate with product partners (Cash, Trade, Treasury, Global Markets, Investment Banking) to structure and deliver integrated solutions.
- Prepare and present credit proposals with sound financial and cashflow analysis.
- Support execution of lending, trade, and treasury transactions, ensuring smooth delivery and client satisfaction.
3. Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and new clients.
- Drive cross-sell of transaction banking, treasury, and digital solutions to deepen wallet share.
- Stay informed on sector trends and regulatory developments to proactively advise clients.
4. Risk & Governance
- Maintain high credit standards and ensure timely review of accounts.
- Monitor portfolio quality and flag early warning signals.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and conduct standards.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- VP/AVP level - At least 5 years of experience in corporate or commercial banking, preferably with exposure to healthcare, education, or essential services sectors.
- Strong credit analysis and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, client-focused, and results-driven.
- Team player with strong collaboration and execution discipline.
