Job summary

A logistics consultancy firm in Singapore seeks a candidate to manage tenders and align opportunities with strategic objectives. This role requires effective preparation and submission of tenders for global customers, coordination with stakeholders, and a background in logistics. Ideal candidates will have strong MS-Excel skills, bilingual abilities in English, and relevant experience in the freight forwarding sector, while maintaining a proactive and problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in SCM, Logistics, Business Administration or related fields preferred.
  • 2-3 years' experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry, especially in Ocean freight.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support the preparation and submission of tenders.
  • Liaise with countries in the APAC region for timely responses.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure high quality offers.
  • Maintain records in internal reports and management systems.
  • Provide analysis from a Tender Management perspective.

General Description

This position is responsible for effective handling of tenders from customers and aligning opportunities with the company’s strategic objectives

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with global and regional account management team to lead or support the preparation and submission of tenders for global and strategic customers
  • Analyse tender specifications and liaise with countries mainly in the APAC region for accurate and timely responses
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including local offices and central procurement teams to ensure high quality and competitive offers
  • Develop a project plan and for adequate pricing analysis, internal review and evaluation in-line with the global tender management process
  • Maintain record of tenders in internal reports and tender document management system
  • Leading/involve in meeting with cross region stakeholder to give advice or provide analysis from Tender Management perspective to achieve corporate goal.
  • Other assignments and participation in related projects, as required
Skills Required
  • Advanced MS-Excel is mandatory
  • Ability to utilize software efficiently eg. Ariba/Jagger/etc.
  • Fast-thinker, Problem solver and strong aptitude for numbers
  • Good interpersonal skills and understanding of cultural diversity
  • Required bilingual in spoken and written English
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
