Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Regional Tax Manager to lead international tax activities outside of Mainland China. Based in Singapore, you will oversee tax compliance, planning, and advisory functions across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with regional business leaders to support growth while ensuring compliance and optimizing tax efficiency.

This role is a key part of our international finance function, offering the opportunity to shape tax strategies across diverse markets and renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
Tax Strategy & Structuring
  • Develop and implement tax strategies across international markets aligned with business expansion goals.
  • Advise on cross-border structuring, investments, and financing of energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor tax risks and provide recommendations to optimize effective tax rates and repatriation flows.
  • Identify and leverage renewable energy tax incentives, including carbon credits and green schemes.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance (CIT, VAT/GST, WHT) in all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Oversee tax provision and deferred tax reporting for local and group-level financial statements.
  • Manage regional tax audits, liaising with tax authorities and external advisors as needed.
Transfer Pricing
  • Design and maintain compliant transfer pricing policies aligned with OECD and local standards.
  • Coordinate transfer pricing documentation and support intercompany pricing reviews.
Business Partnership & Governance
  • Collaborate with HQ tax team, local finance teams, and external consultants across regions.
  • Provide tax guidance to commercial, legal, and finance stakeholders in daily operations and project planning.
  • Train and upskill regional teams on key tax topics and regulatory changes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation; professional certification such as CPA, CA, CTA, or ACCA (Tax) preferred
  • 8–12 years of relevant tax experience, including international exposure (preferably in energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing sectors)
  • Strong knowledge of APAC tax systems and international tax concepts, including transfer pricing and treaty benefits
  • Experience managing tax across multiple jurisdictions within a matrix or regional organizational structure
  • Knowledge of renewable energy tax frameworks (e.g., carbon credits, green investment incentives) is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems is a plus
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is advantageous for HQ coordination
  • Strategic thinking with excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
