Job summary

Future Electronics is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage accounting and statutory compliance for our Asia entities. The role supports regional projects including system migrations, entity integration, and driving automation and AI-enabled improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

You will oversee general ledger activities, prepare statutory reports, ensure IFRS alignment, and collaborate with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree/Professional Qualification in Accountancy with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Exposure to multi-entity accounting in Asia, and to accounting automation or AI tools, will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of IFRS
• Proficient in MS Excel and Financial Systems Applications. Experience in SAP, ORACLE and Hyperion will be an added advantage.
• Familiar with AI and automation tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, RPA, Power Query / Power Automate), with sound judgement in validating AI-generated outputs and a willingness to adopt new technologies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous and able to work independently with minimum guidance.
• Well-organized individual that can take control of multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
• Resourceful and motivated self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Full spectrum of General Ledger activities including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation and month-end reports.
• Provide reports, reconciliation and supporting documents to local accounting firms or local offices after month-end close for the preparation of local statutory accounts.
• Perform reconciliation of accounts between local GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare and ensure indirect tax/ withholding tax are filed as per statutory deadline. Conduct compliance checks on the business transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of annual corporate income tax computation and transfer pricing documentation.
• Responsible for the preparation of financial statements, audit schedules and liaise with external auditors on the finalization of audited financial statements.
• Involve in accounting related automation and improvement projects.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools (e.g. AI assistants, intelligent document processing and automated reconciliation) to improve the efficiency of journal preparation, account reconciliations and management reporting and review AI-generated outputs for accuracy.
• Identify, test and document automation and AI use cases within the accounting function, and support their rollout across the Asia entities while observing data confidentiality and company policies.
• Support the system implementation and entity integration.
• Perform any ad hoc tasks as assigned by accounting manager.
