Department Overview

The Asia Pacific & China office is one of 3 global regions for Aston Martin and covers the diverse and geographical territories across the region including India, Greater China, Japan, South Korea, Australia & New Zealand as well as the South‑East Asian markets. The regional office in Singapore re‑established in 2025 manages all commercial operations for the company in the region and supports local based offices in the main markets with central functions.

Job Purpose

Responsible for directing the Sales activities of the Southeast Asia market under the Market Director APAC. Carrying the responsibility for all business goals and objectives to be reached.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop / assist in the development of and implement business strategies for dealers (including sales franchise implementation, marketing activities, business planning)
  • Control and deliver the monthly, quarterly & yearly retail, wholesale and ordering results for the assigned dealers in close coordination with the Market Director and Sales Operations Team; including volume planning, forecasting, budgets
  • Strict sales performance monitoring / control (day by day control activities) incl. Dealers car flow management
  • Develop creative and effective sales tactics to optimise & utilise retail potential
  • Performance Management: Improve sales performance management by monitoring and initiative plans development
  • Identify gaps in sales processes, implement changes and monitor their impact to drive efficiency and productivity
  • Pre‑owned business target definition and performance monitoring for controlling residual value
  • Manage the implementation and compliance with the Dealer Operating Standards
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance and other departments to optimise processes and achieve collective goals
  • Providing market input on a regular basis with profound local knowledge of the economy, industry and competitor activities
  • Cooperate in definition of marketing activities and actions
  • Collaborate on the events of interest of sales activities
  • Monitoring and coaching the dealers staff in the relevant area of competence (product/brand behaviour processes) including CSI and mystery shopping
  • Support ad‑hoc special projects as needed
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
  • Extensive experience in automotive sales management with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Demonstrated ability to develop dealer partners, manage complex relationships and follow through the company strategy and operational objectives
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills are essential for interacting with Dealer partners, clients, internal stakeholders and senior management
  • Experienced in navigating the key issues affecting the automotive sector across the retail operations
  • A strong record of building productive partnerships across organisations and networks
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field preferred
Preferred
  • Previous experience of working within Manufacturer / Importer
  • Automotive industry understanding
  • Multinational corporate experience & understanding
  • Experience in Asia or major regional markets
  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field

  • A strong understanding of the automotive market including trends, competitors and customer behaviours
  • Confidence and ability to interact and add value at all levels of the dealer organization spanning the full operational team and up to Group / Investor / Owner level
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills; written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • The ability to build rapport and work effectively with diverse individuals with the ability to manage complex business relationships
  • Sales, Marketing, Operations / Organisation, Aftersales, Retention, Customer Satisfaction. Minimum competency level equivalent to Dealer Principal / General Manager level.
  • Capability to work with management accounts, composite data, market share insight and KPIs to generate measured action plans addressing risk and opportunity. Proficiency in sales data analysis and reporting with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sales strategies
  • In‑depth knowledge of automotive sales processes and best practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced dynamic environment
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with online productivity tools: familiarity with tools for scheduling, project management and communication
  • Adaptability and flexibility: ability to adjust to changing priorities and work in a fast‑paced environment

  • Flexibility to support meetings / calls across time zones
