Overview
We are seeking a Regional Merchant Account Manager to join a dynamic Retail & Commerce team managing strategic merchant partnerships across the Asia Pacific region, with a focus on travel-related accounts. This position is ideal for a proactive, commercially minded professional with proven experience in account management within payments, fintech, or merchant industries. You will play a key role in managing client relationships, ensuring operational excellence, and driving business growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Relationship Building
- Act as the primary contact for assigned regional merchant accounts, maintaining solid relationships and ensuring high service quality.
- Handle day-to-day customer interactions, manage queries, prepare reports and presentations, and communicate key business updates.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by understanding client needs, priorities, and challenges.
Reporting & Operational Management
- Manage the end-to-end contracting and invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution in collaboration with legal, compliance, and finance teams.
- Track and report partnership KPIs, providing insights and updates to internal stakeholders.
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns, coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure objectives, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Oversee budget management, billing reconciliation, and resolution of payment-related matters.
Corporate Responsibility
- Comply with all corporate security and confidentiality policies.
- Report any information security concerns or breaches as required.
- Complete mandatory corporate training on schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in account management, business development, or sales within payments, fintech, issuing, or merchant industries.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and influence outcomes.
- Hands‑on experience managing contracting and invoicing processes with keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to support and execute marketing campaigns, including planning, coordination, and performance tracking.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience using Tableau is good to have.
- Professional, positive, and approachable, with the ability to build rapport and maintain productive working relationships.
