Job summary

A leading distribution company is searching for a Regional Finance Manager to oversee transfer pricing compliance and financial reporting across multiple countries including Singapore, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Accounting or Finance and possess 5–10 years of experience, ideally with a background in FMCG distribution. Strong knowledge of OECD guidelines and excellent Excel skills are essential for this position, which reports directly to the CEO.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years experience in Big 4 Transfer Pricing or Regional Finance in FMCG distribution.
  • FMCG or distribution background preferred.
  • Experience with consignment inventory is a bonus.

Job Title: Regional Finance Manager – Transfer Pricing & Group Reporting
Location: Singapore (preferred) / Vietnam (alternative)
Reports to: CEO, M Asia Distribution Group
Manages: Intercompany Accountant, AR/AP Executive, Supply Chain Analyst, Business Analyst (indirect)

Role Purpose

To lead the group’s transfer pricing compliance, intercompany accounting, group financial reporting, and consignment inventory controls across Singapore, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. This role ensures accurate profit allocation, audit readiness, and financial integrity across the group.

Key Responsibilities

A. Transfer Pricing (Primary Duty)

  • Develop, maintain, and implement M Asia’s transfer pricing policy aligned with OECD, IRAS, HK IRD, and Vietnam Decree 132.

  • Determine intercompany pricing for:

    • Finished goods (SG → VN / HK)

    • Management fees

    • Shared services

    • Brand/IP licensing (Maisa, Octopus Martech)

    • Technology charges

  • Prepare Master File & Local Files annually.

  • Manage and respond to transfer pricing audits (especially in Vietnam).

  • Benchmark margins using comparable companies.

B. Intercompany Accounting

  • Control all intercompany invoices and allocations.

  • Validate cost-plus or resale-minus formulas.

  • Monitor FX exposure and currency conversion (VND, SGD, USD).

  • Reconcile SG ↔ VN ↔ HK P&L impact each month.

C. Consignment & Inventory Finance

  • Implement standard consignment inventory accounting.

  • Work with Ops & Business Analyst to calculate:

    • Sell-through

    • DOH

    • Inventory valuation

    • Ageing & write-off projections

  • Ensure write-offs follow proper approvals.

D. Group Reporting & Consolidation

  • Prepare monthly Group P&L / Balance Sheet.

  • Consolidate SG, VN, HK in one report.

  • Variance analysis (budget vs actual).

  • Cashflow forecasting and treasury planning.

E. Audit, Tax & Compliance

  • Manage year-end audit for all entities.

  • Oversee VAT/GST/WHT compliance (SG + VN + HK).

  • Ensure proper documentation for cross-border transactions.

F. Business Partnering

  • Support CEO on investor reporting, FP&A, cost modelling.

  • Support Vietnam GM with profitability analysis.

  • Provide finance insights to supply chain & commercial teams.

Key Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting / Finance.

  • 5–10 years experience in:

    • Big 4 Transfer Pricing (EY/KPMG/PwC/Deloitte) or

    • Regional Finance in FMCG distribution

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • OECD TP guidelines

    • Vietnam Decree 132

    • IRAS TP

    • Intercompany accounting

    • IFRS/SFRS

  • Strong Excel & ERP skills.

  • FMCG or distribution background preferred.

  • Experience with consignment inventory a bonus.

  • High integrity, analytical mindset, strong communication.
