Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join its dynamic finance team in Singapore. You will manage regional accounting close cycles, perform variance analysis, and support multiple business units while driving process improvements.

The role offers exposure to GST and withholding tax, treasury liaison, and collaboration with internal and external auditors. A strong analytical mindset and Oracle experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience with accounting systems: Oracle experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within deadlines.
• Proactive, self-motivated and keen to learn new systems and processes.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with regional stakeholders.
• Exposure to AI tools, automation, digitalisation or finance transformation initiatives will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities with the regional accounting team.
• Review Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are properly followed up.
• Analyse financial results and provide meaningful variance analysis to support business decisions.
• Provide accounting and financial support to various departments and business units.
• Prepare GST and withholding tax returns, declarations and supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to enhance finance processes, controls and workflows, and support implementation.
• Handle treasury-related activities and liaise with banks on banking matters.
• Coordinate quarterly and year-end stock takes and fixed asset verification.
• Partner with internal and external auditors to address audit matters and follow through on recommendations.
• Assist with year-end tax filing and other statutory requirements.
• Participate in business analysis, finance projects, automation initiatives and process improvement projects.
• Take on other finance-related projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.
