Job summary

Neste Singapore Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a proactive supervisor to plan, prepare and execute refinery turnaround events, coordinating with internal teams and external partners. You must be highly self-motivated, able to embrace change and work independently while living Neste's values.

The role requires a Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, with 3 years of supervisory experience (or 5 years with a Higher NITEC, or 8 years with GCE O' level) in a petrochemical/refinery

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or similar required.
• Minimum polytechnic diploma with supervisory experience in petrochemical/refinery.
• GCE 'O' Level with 8 years supervisory experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and execute events related to operations including TA/SD and major maintenance activities.
• Back-up Event team member for Turn-arounds and Unit Shut-downs.
• Monitor TA/SD execution, instruct shift teams and report progress.
• Liaise with 3rd parties/suppliers for TA/SD preparation and execution.
• Optimize shutdown/start-up work instructions for designated area.
• Review and improve Operations NMS Work Procedures.
• Review Shift Team Shutdown Instructions to cover full scope.
• Communicate and train shift teams on events.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

About the role

You will be focusing on planning and preparing the Refinery for a Safe Turnaround. In this job you will work closely with different stakeholders within Neste and with external partners. You must be a highly self-motivated individual, able to embrace changes, with a strong ability to work independently and live the values of Neste.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and execute events related to Operations including operations resource planning for designated unit(s). Events include Turn-arounds (TA), Unit shut-downs (SD), Major maintenance activities (Tank-inspections, absorbent changes), and (Pre)Commissioning and initial start-up of capital investment projects
• Back-up Event team member in Turn-arounds and Unit Shut-downs
• Monitor TA/SD execution and instruct shift teams accordingly and report progress
• Liaison of Operations to 3rd parties/suppliers related to operations support for preparing and execution of Turn-arounds and Shut-downs assigned by Operations Event Lead
• Optimize the Shut-down, Start-up and Clearing work instructions for designated area
• Correct, review and improve assigned Operations NMS Work Procedures
• Review Shift Team Operations Shut Down Instruction to ensure all scope is covered in the instructions
• Communicate and train shift teams related to events
• Work closely with all Internal and External stakeholders

About you

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or similar
• Minimum Polytechnic Diploma with 3 years of supervisory experience OR Higher NITEC with 5 years of supervisory experience OR GCE 'O' level with 8 years of supervisory experience in a Petrochemical/Refinery Environment
• Prior experience as a production operator in a refinery or a similar role
